ABOUT MELYNDAMADE

Welcome to MelyndaMade Handmade Clothing.

 

My passion for sewing, craft, cooking and gardening has been with me for as long as I can remember and was fuelled by my Grandma and Nanna. A country girl from Sandy Hollow, NSW always enters her wears in the local show. The Annual Merriwa Show in September was always a highlight for me.

 

Having been away from home since I was 16 focusing on senior school, university and a career, my craft took a back seat.

 

In 2007 I met a lovely young man who unbeknownst to me, would become my husband in 2010. 2012 saw the arrival of our 1st munchkin who after a very rough start proved to be an excellent sleeper.  With perceived free time on my hands after a public health career I occupied this time sewing again. We are pleased to announce that our 3rd child, a beautiful baby girl arrived nearly on time in March 2016.

 

After being very disheartened by the lack of colour in maternity wear in large stores, My first release was maternity skirts.  

 

As my passion grew I was introduced to a number of amazing Australian Designers including Ainslee Fox, Boo Designs and TADAH Patterns. They each have with amazing patterns for babies. These amazing patterns were a perfect compliment to the maternity skirts I was making.

 

Since 2012 I have been dedicated to selling my handmade clothing for babies, siblings and mums to be at markets both online and throughout metropolitan and South West Sydney.

 

In October 2015 I have taken the step of enabling a wider audience to discover and purchase MelyndaMade clothing via our new online store. As we evolve I look forward to sharing with you new releases of skirts for mum before and after having bub.  I hope you enjoy your visit and I look forward to helping you with unique and classic handmade clothing.
